The Space
Southend has two unique event spaces on our second and third floor. High above historic East Bay Street, you will enjoy sweeping views of the Charleston Harbor and city skyline. The second floor Bobby Jones Room and the third floor Wagener Room are ideal for large parties and intimate gatherings alike.
The second floor Bobby Jones Room is tucked away from the bustling restaurant. It sits between exposed brick walls, tall windows, bright artwork and glass brewery walls. The room extends across the front of the restaurant and provides a comfortable space for parties of 80-100 people for buffet and plated dinners respectively. The Bobby Jones Room offers a private and elegant atmosphere but can be transformed into nearly anything you can envision.
The third floor Wagener Room is casual and rustic, with high ceilings, exposed brick and tall rafters. When utilizing two of the rooms seating areas, the Wagener Room is a wonderful space for large parties. It can also be sectioned off for a more intimate feel for small parties. The fully stocked Harborview Bar sits in the center of the room, providing easy access to cold drinks during your party. The Wagener Room boasts multiple flat screen televisions, pool tables, video games and dart boards for extra entertainment. The Wagener Room can comfortably accommodate 150 people.
Southend Brewery’s event space is free of charge for parties over 20 people; a $50 rental fee is applied for smaller parties. No matter which space you choose, the event team at Southend Brewery will create the party of your dreams. Let your imagination run wild and your room will be transformed to meet your exact needs.
The Food
The food for Southend Brewery events is quickly and freshly prepared only steps away from our event space. The Southend Chefs created special event menus with a variety of options to match your needs. You may select from hors d’oeuvre, a la carte choices, pre-set menus, or completely customize your own menu.
The Details:
· Groups of 20 people or more are required to select from our banquet menus.
· Hosts of parties with fewer than 20 people may preselect a menu or order from Southend Brewery’s large party menu during the event.
· Hosts of plated dinner parties will pre-select a menu of approximately 4 entrees, which each guest will choose from in advance. The host will provide Southend their guests’ names and entree selections via fax or email at least 10 days prior to their event. The Southend event team will create place cards for each guest with their names and selected entrée. Accompanying salads, appetizers, or desserts are pre-selected by the host.
· Hosts for buffet-style dinners, will pre-select the entire menu: offering a variety of salads, side items, entrees, and desserts. Please submit final menu choices 7 days prior to the event. The amount of food served is dependent on the total number of confirmed guests, which can be changed up to 48 hours before the event. After this deadline, the number of guests can increase, but cannot decrease, per your event contract.

The Drinks
Southend offers the peninsula’s best pricing on event bar rentals. We offer fully customizable bar packages that mix and match beer, liquor and wine to fit your budget and timetable. Enjoy our inspired cocktails, wide wine selections or homemade microbrew beers, created just beyond our glass walls.

The Booking
Southend Brewery’s Event Coordinator, Jana Hodge will provide a pre-event consultation: including an event space tour and menu review. Please refer to our calendar to review time and space availability. Southend is completely flexible: we are happy to make changes to accommodate your party scheduling or spatial needs.
To reserve a space, a $500.00 deposit is required via check or credit card. If you choose to write a check, it will be deposited immediately and deducted from the total cost of your banquet. Many hosts provide a credit card to hold the party reservation, however the card will not be charged unless used to pay on the day of the event.
Southend’s Event Cancellation Policy
If a party must cancel for any reason, Southend Brewery and Smokehouse must have at least 7 days notice in order for the deposit to be returned. Should the notice of cancellation be less than 7 days or should there be no notice at all, either the deposited check will not be refunded or the credit card will be charged $500.00.
Southend accepts American Express, Visa, Discover, Master Card, local/business check with correct information, and cash. Payment can be made before or at the time of the event, or can be billed afterward.
